Since I updated to high sierra CPU load started spiking up to 80% on my MBP late 2013 without any reason.I have to use regular telegram app because of this bug. Please fix it!

Version 3.6 of Telegram Lite is quite good at juggling multiple contact chats and managing data, but it is emphatically *not* suitable for business.The fact that one cannot turn off the whimsical text bubbles — and thus, not display a chat as "clean" text, which makes it impossible to select and copy multiple text blocks quickly or directly — severely undercuts its useful functionality for work-related tasks. It is otherwise a functional, streamlined alternative to the full Telegram app.

I downloaded this app on my mac first because someone that I really do not know wanted to chat. So why would I want the person to have my phone number? This app says NO PHONE NEEDED. Sounds good. So I downloaded it. It tells me to download on a phone first and requires my phone number. So I did that. Then I find that others contacting me through this app need my phone number. So what is the point? All cellphones have a messenger. Especially iPhone. What is the point again? I don’t do facebook nor do I have a google email and I don’t want them either. That is my point for even searching for such an app.

Overall, an excellent product. Latest version crashes intermittently when my Mac is locked, however. Doesn't stop me from relaunching it, but it pops up a warning about not being closed correctly that I don't always notice before reopening. Can I send debug info?

The UI here blows the original MacOS telegram app (other one on the app store) They just need to use this app as the main one and get rid of the other one. Lite shoul replace the other one...

The macOS client has many bugs which have been ignored for years. This client not only is (mostly) bug-free, but includes ALL of the features Telegram has to offer.

As I have Telegram running all the time on my computer, I figured I'd go for the "Lite" version, thinking it would take less resources.I also found I preferred the interface of the Lite version. I have two Telegram accounts, and it's easier to switch between them, among other things I like about it.But I noticed recently in Activity Monitor that Telegram Lite was taking around 900MB of memory. It was using more memory than any other app, and I have some fairly larges apps running (Photoshop, for example).I've gone back to using the non-Lite version.

It’s smart and fast as advertised. You can use it for sharing any kind of file with incredible speed. creating groups is also quit simple.

I love it. It has so many useful functions that I cannot find in other socialnetworking apps. Solute to all the staff behind it.

I am using telegram App and also telegram desktop. I found that when I am using telegram desktop my Mac book starts to get hot and it takes 16% of CPU. but the telegram app is not like that. The only disadbantage of telegram app is that you cannot disable automatic download.

I wanted this ap on my computer becuase I don't want my cell number out there... whats the point in downloading it on my MAC if I have to use a cell phone anyway. what if you don't have a cell phone? just stupid.. no point in having the computer ap. do better.
